Welcome to the why behind my blog.

I took my first overseas trip to Hong Kong at 19 and I still think about that feeling all the time. The first time truly stepping into a completely new place, the buzzing streets, the neon lights, the nerves and excitement doing this weird little dance in my tummy. That trip is kinda the reason I’m even writing this right now. It sparked a love of travel that’s only gotten bigger since and I’ve somehow racked up 25 countries so far (with a list that literally never stops growing).

I work a full-time 9 to 5 like most people, but I’ve gotten really good at making travel fit around my life. A long weekend somewhere new, a big overseas trip or just exploring more of my own backyard in Australia… I’m always finding a way to squeeze in more. New places, local food I’ll be dreaming about for weeks, different cultures, tiny moments I want to remember forever, and capturing all of it through photos, videos and words.

Planning the trip is just as fun as being on it for me. I’ve picked up so many tricks over the years and I don’t want to gatekeep any of them. I’d rather spend my money on the stuff that’s important to me, like a meal that’s going to live rent-free in my head for months, an experience that turns into the story I’ll tell everyone about for the rest of my life, or a random activity I’d never in a million years get to do at home.

This blog is my whole travel world complied into one place. Practical tips, curated itineraries, money-saving hacks, all of it, here for you. But most importantly, I’m not here to convince you to quit your job and backpack the world. I just want to show you that it’s possible to see more of it while still keeping your career, your life and your budget completely in check.
